Vi never pronounce the 'gay'

A little practice in posting, writing, and so on. Please leave comments for ways to improve the readability or if you just have something to say :).

My first good decision here in Lund was enrolling in the SUSA Swedish Language course. Not only am I beginning to be able to pronounce street signs and practice words while walking around, but it has also been my main resource for networking with the many exchange students studying here. I've so far met people from Australia, Scotland, England, France (plenty of French people come to study here), Germany, Denmark, and a few others.

Most notable though, we had a crash-introductory course in Swedish literature and music. I've posted some pictures here of that course because I found it to be really funny. The man who taught us about music is the focus of these pictures, and here he is accompanied by his Ukulele.

For some time he would lecture us about the evolution of music in Sweden, play a few sample songs, and then sing to us. We would then learn the song in Swedish and sing with him. Coincidently, the top three Swedish activities are dancing, singing, and drinking. So here we are all singing  a classic song, Ring-Ring, from the very well-known Swedish band ABBA. Other Swedish mentions that you may know include Europe, Ace of Base, Cardigans, Roxette, Robyn, and Entombed.

About the title. 'Vi' in Swedish means 'we', and 'gay' is how you pronounce the letter 'g'. Often in Swedish words the 'g' will be written but not pronounced. So naturally hearing the Swedish teacher say "we never pronounce the 'gay'" over and over gets some chuckles from the crowd.
