A short train ride away from Lund, Malmö is the place locals go for shopping and some Swedish nightlife.
I, however, neither shopped nor stayed for the clubs that night. But, I have a few pictures of the city that show some Swedish architecture and landscape.
Most cities I have been to thus far in Europe and Scandinavia are built around a canal or some body of water. Malmö is no different in that regard.

The next few pictures are buildings and sculptures around the city:
|
The curvature in the straight-block road has a captivating visual effect that is only slightly depicted here |
|
Frozen Sculpture (the two jetstreams are actually flowing upwards and not frozen) |
|
Neat crustacean pillar (we found it while lost) |
|
Somewhere in the area is a church that's been converted to a bar; this one is likely not it, but how cool if it was! |
|
A lapse between human eyes and camera technology, this building is stunning in real life (front) |

When I came to Malmö with friends we were all pent up with energy from staying in Lund for so long. So we walked around with mustaches and made asses of ourselves :)

Paula and Spencer; Paula's stach looks 100% legit |

Mission of the trip: find the Turning Torso. Probably the coolest building I've seen, it's a modern feat of civil engineering that you can't help but wonder "how the f***?"

Turning Torso |
No pictures from the inside, that luxury was reserved for those who are staying in the Turning Torso hotel.
The last highlights of the trip are a gorgeous port, and futuristic playground:
|
Notice the fractured ice, thin enough to throw a stone through (so long as you don't overswing and nearly hit the volvo parked behind us . . .) |
|
"Under Construction" -- seriously would have made the trip right there. |
